Irish Language

This course is designed to enable students to converse in the Irish language and to become familiar with the basics of Irish grammar. Elements of Irish culture, such as songs, blessings and sayings, poetry, holidays, and customs will be introduced to enrich student appreciation of the language. The course will consist of a two-hour class once a week for 10 weeks. Materials supplied will include a grammatical guide which has been prepared for the course and an audio recording, as well as opportunities for conversation practice outside of class. Classes will be starting the week of September 25, 2006, and are held in the Corn Hill area of Rochester. Space is limited.
